Youth

Dear Friends,

We have a great group of energetic and enthusiastic kids who contribute so much to the life of the church and to the body of Christ. Our group is made up of youth, grades 6-12. We hold regular meetings and sponsor numerous activities throughout the year as a way of encouraging Christian growth and to provide fellowship and service opportunities.

Our activities vary from year to year but some of our "regulars" include a Winter Retreat in January, preparing and serving a Valentine's Dinner, a Mystery Lunch or Progressive Fast Food Dinner, caroling and a Christmas party. We have also been known to go miniature golfing, stumble our way through corn mazes, play laser tag, play in youth volleyball tournaments, and take a day at an amusement park. Our group offers scholarship money to youth wishing to attend conference, regional, and national youth events held by our denomination.

We are involved in many service projects throughout the year. We serve our congregation at Zion's Ham Supper on October, and help to supervise young children at the Halloween Party and at the Easter Egg Hunt. We also are responsible for planning and leading worship at the Family Christmas Eve Service. As a way of serving the community we have joined the CROP Walk, the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and do fund raising for the Souper Bowl of Caring. We have also held work days at the Cluster and supported its work through monetary contributions.
